Our mission is to bridge informational gaps in key areas of law by creating accessible, AI-powered tools that empower marginalised communities and enable more equitable access to justice. Each project is tailored to address specific needs identified by our grassroots partners. Thus, Setu is domain-agnostic, providing legal information across various issue areas. This flexibility allows Setu to effectively meet diverse legal literacy challenges.
This project addresses the systemic informational & empowerment challenges faced by women in the workplace. We aim to improve agency for female labour force participation, while also supporting organisations in enhancing their Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policies. Through our tools, we facilitate a shared awareness of women’s rights and foster safer, more equitable work environments.
Our comparative legal tool allows police practitioners to navigate the changes between old and new criminal codes. This tool provides a critical reference, helping personnel stay informed of the reforms and apply them more effectively in their practice.
Setu is building industry-specific onboarding kits for informal labourers, along with a wage and compensation calculator, to help workers better understand their rights. Additionally, these tools will assist helpline workers, and provide labourers with forward linkages to the labour NGO, ensuring that informal workers have the necessary resources and connections to secure fair treatment.
