Problem Statement and Opportunity

01

Legalese

Even if someone is literate and capable to using the Internet, the language used in legislations and court judgements are long-winding, complex, and way beyond the capabilities of an average literate person to understand. This is ironic given that the law is written for the benefit of the average person.

02

Digital Access

India has improved significantly in digital access, with 759 million active internet users (which is expected to touch 900 million by 2025). However a majority of the population still use mobile devices that are shared with other members of the family, and therefore cannot use it easily to research on their rights.

Costs and time

Most people tend to engage lawyers as the last resort due to costs and trust deficit. The need to know the basics about the law and how to enforce it, comes way before a lawyer can step in to provide legal advice.
